Prayer Promises

Every Godly prayer is answered before the prayer itself is finished. “My father will give you whatever you ask in my name” (John 16:23). When you ask in faith and in Christ’s name that is oneness with him and his will, it will be given to you (John 15:7).

Since God’s word can not fail, it is wise to close every prayer with praise to God for the answer he has already given. Praise be to the Lord, who has not abandoned His kindness and faithfulness towards us.

When you believe God for a blessing you must have an attitude of faith and begin to act and pray if the blessing were already yours. This attitude of trust means leaning upon Him for what we have claimed and He (Jesus) has given us our request and will continue to give it.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you are a God who truly knows your people. You already know what our prayer is before we speak it, however you patiently wait for us to come to you in prayer. Thank you for answering our prayers that fall according to your will so that our lives align with your plans and purposes. For you are a Heavenly Father who has the best intentions for His children. In Christ, Amen.

Stand Firm

“Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.” (Exodus 14:13)

Are you being confronted with a circumstance or difficulties in your life today? What am I to do when I cannot retreat or go forward and my way is blocked to the right or to the left?

The Master’s word to you is Stand Firm. The best thing you can do during these times is to listen only to the Master’s words, for others will come to you with their suggestions and evil advice. Despair will come, whispering “give up- lie down and die. It is too difficult for you to continue living the part of a Christian, abandon your principles.” No matter how much Satan may pressure you to follow his course, you cannot, for you are a child of God. The Lord’s divine decree has commanded that we go from strength to strength (Psalm 84:7), therefore neither death nor hell shall turn you from your course.

Stand Firm, you must maintain the posture of one who stands ready for action, expecting further orders and cheerfully and patiently awaiting the Director’s voice. It will not be long until God will say to you as he told Moses to tell the children of Israel, Stand Firm.

Prayer:
Lord, despite what kind of despair comes my way I will plant myself in you. I will lend my ears only to hear your voice and not the whispers of Satan. Please remove those from me who speak negativity to me, please send those to help encourage and lift me up during this time. Thank you that I have strength in you and I am able to stand firm. In Jesus name, Amen!

Walk In The Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8). Your position as a believer has changed from darkness (sin) to light (righteousness). You are to change your walk, to correspond to your position in Christ. For the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth finding out what is acceptable to the Lord and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them for it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret (Ephesians 5:9-12). God will always expose the darkness into light. He does not need our help, But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is the light, Therefore he says: Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.(Ephesians 5:13-14). Are you walking in truth today? Do you know what is acceptable to the Lord in your life?

Prayer:
Lord, wake me up please. I do not want to be stuck in darkness. May, I be one of light, one who is used by you to shed light to others. In Christ name, Amen!

Child of God, I Cover You

This was sent to me (Pastor Denise) and I thought I would share this with you today:

And God said, “I have constantly allowed people in your life who hurt you, hate you, and try to hinder you. You ask yourself, why does God allow these people in my life? My dear child, these people help push you to pray deeper, praise harder and to grow higher. I am using them for your greater good, so send them a thank you card.

Prayer:
Lord, though I may not like the hard times I face, I do thank you for them. For now I see they help me to draw and press into you. Thank you. In Christ name, Amen.

Stand Firm & Believe

God honors faith, stubborn faith. We must not overlook the fact that faith on our part helps God to carry out his plans for you. Be willing to come to the help of the Lord. Faith assist God. It can shut the mouths of lions and quench the most destructive fire. Faith still honors God, and God honors faith. Oh for the kind of faith that will move ahead, leaving God to fulfill his promise when he sees fit. Let us shoulder our load, without looking as though we were carrying God’s coffin. Let us launch our ships into the deep. You will find that all things are possible with God, and everything is possible for him who believes. Today let us attempt great things for God, taking His faith to believe great things and taking his strength to accomplish them! Stand firm and believe!

Prayer:
Lord, I will stand with you. I will have stubborn faith. I will trust in you and what you promise. I will stand even when I can not see it, I will trust that you working behind the scenes. I commit today to be your child who has stubborn faith. In Christ name, amen.

Lift Up Your Eyes

Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you (Genesis 13:14-15)

No desire will ever be placed in you by the Holy Spirit unless He intends to fulfill it. So let your faith raise up and soar away, claim all the land you can discover. Look as far as you can, for it is all yours. All you long to be as a christian, and all you long to do for God, are within the possibilities of faith. Then draw closer to him and with your bible before you and your soul completely open to the Holy Spirit, allow your entire being to receive the baptism of his presence. As God opens your understanding enabling you to see his fullness, believe he has it all for you. Accept for yourself all the promises of his word, all the desires he awakens within you, and all the possibilities of what you could become as a follower of Jesus Christ. “All the land you see is given to you.”

Prayer:
Lord, I come today with the desires that I have to be used in your kingdom. As I take some time alone today, may the Holy Spirit fill me. May I be refreshed to pursue the desires you have place within me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

At Last

Just longing, dear Lord, for you, Jesus, beloved and true; Yearning and wondering when You’ll be coming back again, Under all I say and do, Just longing, dear Lord, for you.

Some glad day, all watching past, You will come for me at last; Then I’ll see you, hear your voice, Be with you, with you rejoice; How sweet hope thrills me through, Sets me longing, dear Lord, for you.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then Face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am know. (1 Corinthians 13:12)

Prayer:
Dear Lord, how I long to see you face to face. I will be patient until then. In the meantime, I will share your love and gospel with those you have placed in my path. In Christ Name, Amen.

Genuine Prayer

Often we ask for things that God has not specifically promised, therefore, we are not sure if our petitions are in line with his purpose until we persevered for some time in prayer. We feel led to select and plead a promise from the pages of scripture, “Do as you promised.” If all request were this definitive, there would be much more interest in prayer. It is better to claim a few specific things than to make twenty vague request. Every promise of scripture is from God, which we may plead before him with this reasonable request. Our creator will never cheat those of us of his creation who depend upon his truth. And even more, our heavenly Father will never break his word to his own child. Psalm 119:49 “Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.” (Psalm 119:49) Will you now disappoint the hope that you yourself have brought forth with in me? Thank you father for hearing my prayer.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, forgive me if my prayers have been selfish and not genuine. I want to be inline with you and your word. Please help me to direct my prayers to the things you have promised in your word. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Difficulties And Trials

Why is it that God allows us trails and constant pressure in your life? His purpose is to show us his all-sufficient and grace more effectively than if we were free from difficulties and trials. Another purpose is to bring us a greater awareness of our dependence upon him. God is constantly trying to teach us how dependent we are on him. We must stand not with self-made strength but always leaning upon Jesus. This teaches us to trust him more in our life. There is no way to learn of faith except through trails. This is God’s school of faith, and it is better for us to trust him.Once the lesson of faith has been learned, it is an everlasting possession and an eternal fortune gained. Yet without trust in God, even great riches will leave us in poverty.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4)

Prayer:
Father, I am sure I am not alone when I say this, but, I really dislike difficulties and trials. At times they cause pain among several other emotions. Help me to remember that through these times you will use them to show me more of who you are, how to rely on you, how to become a better prayer warrior and how to draw closer to you. Help me to count it all joy, knowing you are with me every step of the way. In Christ Name, Amen!

Plan Of God

Do you know the plan of God for your life? “I know the thoughts that I (Jesus) think towards you says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). The Lord places considerable emphasis on his unchangeable plan for you to bring you peace and not evil in your life. God remembers his covenant promises of restoration. The bible says, “Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19). He said he will make a way when there is no way! God will not trick you or play with your life as though you were a puppet. You have the ability to hear from God. “My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Will you follow him and know he has a perfect plan for your life? God will honor you and help you if you obey and practice to be obedient sheep. “For he is our God and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand” (Psalm 95:7)He knows the plans he has for you. Just believe.

Prayer:
Lord, Today I take your hand and trust you to lead me. Your way is best. I am a sheep in your pasture and I will follow you and trust your plans for me are of good and not evil. In Christ name, Amen!
